This is a story about a middle class girl with big dreams in a small city. She has an active social life, with a good career, nice apartment, hot car, close friends and family. Risking it all, the big city calls. She wants to achieve more, experience more and become more successful than what is possible in her hometown. Perhaps along the way fall in love with a worldly man that can show her what she has been missing. Does this sound familiar? Many women living in big cities these days fall into this scenario. The reality however, is far from the dream. Some actually do achieve all this and more, but for the majority, life is a struggle. Disappointment sets in when they realize that all the creature comforts they left at home are gone and they are alone. Struggling to stand out and be appreciated for all the value they bring, the city knows no mercy. No one cares enough to take notice, as most have been there long enough to develop a brick heart. There are hundreds of these girls and the ones that have struggled to get up the life ladder, are the ones that will survive. Go home, or fight for success? This is a constant battle, which will culminate when money and hope run out. The interesting part is that those living in the big city will eventually move out and settle in suburban areas or go back to their home town when family life sets in. So the questions to ask yourself are: what are your priorities and your values? Where do you want to be in 10 years? What legacy do you want to leave behind?
